Assistance to Migrants and Refugees

The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in Belarus provides assistance to migrants and refugees, who found themselves in a difficult situation in Belarus and are in need of support.

The following types of assistance are provided to migrants and refugees depending on the individual needs:

•    Food, clothes, shoes, hygiene items, and other necessities;
•    Psychological and psychosocial support;
•    Medical assistance;
•    Assistance with temporary accommodation in emergency cases;
•    Transport support within Belarus;
•    Assistance in securing employment (provision of vocational courses, translation of documents, legal assistance);
•    Reintegration assistance for victims of human trafficking, including stay at the IOM Rehabilitation Center;
•    Assistance in returning to the country of origin within the framework of the Assisted Voluntary Return programme (AVR).
